7.3 miles up into GS and around the trail. I was skeptical of running today as I was still going to take some more time off but... Well I found these old pictures of myself (when I was chunky) and I couldn't stand it. I had to go run. So I just kept it smooth and easy. The hammy didn't really bother me. While doing some of the climbs I did feel a slight pull but nothing that would stop me from running. I still need to continue to doctor it up. Last night I did some research on my blog and found out when it started hurting from the start. I first talk about it on the blog back on October 29 of 2007. Then I make another reference to it on December 20, 2007 and then it becomes a full on war by January 5, 2007. All along through that time I pound out hard milage and even more by the end of January and into Feb all through the year.... Bad call Clyde! Lets put this in the past.

I hope that the Hamstring gets feeling better. Best of luck with everything,

Thanks Seth. The picture was taken back in 2004 and I was around 195 lbs.

Clyde, That is awesome. Way to go. I have to say that you look even better now. I bet people who look at your blog think, how does he run soooo fast?. Keep up the good work. Best of luck with everything.

Booth- Right now I'm right around 150 ish depending on how much I eat and run that week. I've been down to as low as 144 in hard training of the summer.

My motivation to lose it was looking in the mirror everyday. I ran in college at UVSC and then after I got married I put on around 50 lbs. Then I just decided enough was enough and I pretty much lost that same 50 lbs in about 4 months. When I started running again I couldn't run one mile under 10 min's.... but I slowly worked on it and 4 months later I ran my first marathon in 2:58 (STG 2005). Anyways now it's just too funny to look at.

Nice picture. You actually look good and healthy even then I think. It's amazing what running does. I'm down to 137 and two and a half years ago I was 171

Awesome picture. I need to dig around and find some photos from when I was at my PR of 155. All of the extra weight was in my chin.
