10 mile overpass loop. The legs felt heavy, slow and blah this morning- plus it really felt hot. I struggled through the run and made it back home to jump on the scale- 145 lbs. Fairly low for me. Also saw a little snake on the dirt road up by the freeway.  I didn't get close enough to see what kind it was... I hate snakes.

(Red Stratus)

12.8 mile bike ride = 3.2 miles easy running. Out in the heat on this one. I had to go all over town on this one after 10 a.m. Bike shop, church clothing store, and the mall. I finally got home right at noon. Actual biking time was 1:10

6.7 mile GS loop extended a little for water. It was 105 when I left the house and the heat caught up to me on the last two miles. It must be a combination of the hill yesterday, the bike ride today and the heat with all of it. Because I really lost it on the run tonight. I struggled to even keep running and I never get that way. Anyways got home and got some fluid and now I'll hope to sleep it off and start over in the morning.

Yeck. I hate snakes too. I am going to need to start gettting up at 5 am instead of 6 to get my miles in. what time do you get up to run?

From Superfly on Tue, Jul 01, 2008 at 13:44:14

Bull I didn't get out the door until like 6:40. Too late because it was way hot. I go at different times every day... it just depends on what is going on.

From Dustin on Tue, Jul 01, 2008 at 14:02:11

6:40 is still a lot better than 8:00 am which is when I left today.

Sounds like you guys had a good hill workout last night, I'll have to make it over sometime, for the pure enjoyment of running up that hill.

Did your shoulder make a full recovery or is it still bugging you? Did you end up having it looked at?

From Superfly on Tue, Jul 01, 2008 at 16:45:27

Dustin- Yes you and Bill will have to come join us. Last night there was 8 guys out running without you two. One of them (PreDog) was from Hurricane so you guys could car pool.

Adam- No the shoulder isn't recovered at all. It hurts right on the bone. However I just don't go to the Dr. If it still really hurts in a week I guess I'll go get an x-ray.

With your hill running power we need you to come down on Monday's for the Meat Grinder!

Sounds like fun... I need to be able to run at all. I think I had a lead infusion at WBR as my legs are so flat...
