12 mile morning run. It was a clear night last night which means it was ice cold this morning (for me). The good part about it being so cold is that I could run up in the dirt and mud and it wasn't an issue because it was all frozen solid. I did the new overpass loop.

(Red Stratus 31.5)

8 mile run this afternoon. Just an easy recovery type run up around GS.

Superfly, how do you recover so fast from a 20 mile run and then run a double digit run the next day? I don't know how you guys do it, it truly amazes me...

Clay if I do a long run and then run the next day it works like this. The long run (20 miler) is early in the morning on day one. Then I take it easy the rest of that day and of course don't run that evening like normal. Then I've pretty much been able to rest for that whole day so I'm fairly fresh then next morning for a run. When I'm in my "training" mode and pushing it- I'm doing 2-a- days every day so if I do enough milage one morning to not have to run in the evening it feels really nice to get that rest.

Keep in mind it's been a work in progress. 40 miles per week use to blow my mind, but I've taken baby steps for the last 3 years and worked up to bigger things.

It's all paying off for you now, Awesome! But like you said 3 yrs of hard work! You running with the club Thursday?

I am at 40 miles a week and I am with you, anymore than that just doesn't seem possible for me right now... I ran pretty hard for me this morning for 7 miles and it takes everything I've got just to recovery for tomorrows run and even then I will be feeling it!!!

You guys are amazing...

Mike I won't be there on Thursday but will be here on Saturday and I think Steve is mapping us out a 20 mile course somewhere.
