9.25 mile run this morning. Up over the hill into GS and around Middleton the long way. Good to be out in the desert again as the sun was coming up. Two more runs this  week and I can go see April and get this hamstring worked out. It's really, really tight and also just leads to early heavy legs during every run. The calves are feeling better though- so I guess you win some and lose some every day.

5.75 miles this afternoon on the treadmill. I wasn't sure of how many to do because the plan was for 5 this afternoon but the weekly goal was for 110 and I was one mile back so I evened it off leaving the solo 20 mile run tomorrow morning.

I warmed up very slow for two songs on the treadmill and then just worked through it. Felt better than I though it would going in. Glad it's done and now I can rest up for the morning run.

I like your new blog name, but considering Paul's comments on Wednesday, perhaps working smarter instead of harder would be more apt. I tend to take running way seriously like you do, so the advice you got Wed. is really helpful to me too. I have just moved from three to two workouts a week, and I have a "Big Workout" in my long run.

Michelle- Yeah I totally agree with you and Paul. His advice was spot on. I'm going to keep my big workouts to two but scale the rest of the mileage down so I can get those quality workouts in. His insight is priceless- that's why I wanted his help to begin with when I started doing this series. His blog name should be "working smarter..." If you look at his training last year thats what it was- very, very smart!

Do you have a workout schedule from Tinman or Paul? If not how are you crafting your schedule. It sucks to self coach. I am never sure if I am pushing too hard or not pushing enough.

Yeah Paul kind of helped put together a 10 week program for Me, Logan and Dave. It's what we've been calling our "circle of trust". However it's kind of on the DL because Paul didn't want everyone asking him to do it...

I am going to April on sat as well, maybe we need to have a blog party there:) I totally can feel ya when you talk about the heavy legs. My hamstring this week has been a little tight and I feel like I cant get a fast turnover and I drag my right leg. It can be so frustrating. She needs to get a punch card for us runners. Buy 9 get the 10th free or something like that.

Clyde- have you noticed that Chad, Cody, and I are running almost the same schedule as you, just adjusted for races and at lower mileage? But it's on the DL.
