DC loop. Felt ok for a Monday. Nothing special today.

147.5 lbs. About 3lbs heavy. Last weeks diet was crap. I knew I'd be big today. Lots of stress and I gave into food. Gotta do better this week.

10.2 more miles this afternoon. DC loop again. Got rained on the last 5 miles. Felt great. Had I waited about a half hour longer I would have had rain the whole run. #catsanddogsoutsidenow

Tempo Tuesday...

There once was a boy who got up early and met his buddies for a tempo run. He wanted to run strong. He felt like things were moving in the right direction. But... his morning turned out to be a total train wreck. It was CRAZY muggy and that might just be this boy's kryptonite. The warm up felt hard. The first mile or so of the tempo the breathing was way too hard. And by mile 4 it was over.  He tried to keep battling all the way through mile 8 but effort was hard and splits were ugly. The other boys ran away down the dark trail and this boy had to run all by himself... It was sad. Just totally cramped up. Made some hammer fizz drink before the run. But forgot to drink it. That could have helped. IDK. Hopefully next time turnes out better.

143.5 lbs after. Did sweat my butt off and dropped the weight back down.

2.2 more miles on the treadmill this afternoon. Just enough to get a sweat going. Then weights and hip stuff.

Slow and hard DC loop. I can't really remember feeling this wore out, trashed, tired, and just drained in life. Could be kind of sick. Idk. Just drug it around the whole time and never got going. In fact I wanted to walk home the last mile.

146.5 lbs. Thought I'd be low as I was so dead. But... nope. FML

7 miles tonight around the middle B-hills and Secret St extension. Wanted and tried to feel better than this morning. And maybe I kind of did. But it was still pretty robotic. I just feel totally out of sync. 90 F out but it did kind of feel like a "fall" day. Thank goodness... i'msickofsummer

DC loop extended through B-hills. Such a nice morning out. 60 F. Calm and clear. I love these types of morings in September. Shirt off and a little chill on the chest. Still feeling like I'm pulling a plow behind me. Just no power or git up and go. Tried to run some 6:20's for about 5 miles just to get out of the super slow rutt. Ended with a 6:44 avg.

145.5 lbs after. Weight is up and down every day. I'm about to chuck the scale out the window and stop stressing about it.

30.5 mile ride at 20.3 mph avg. Decided to get on the bike and see if it would help loosen up/ unjam my legs. Didn't push it hard but kept it honest the entire time. It was 90 F but really felt good out. Enjoyed it. Feilds/Airport/Sunriver/back around LV.

4.4 mile run. Got off the bike and headed out for a short run around LV. Legs didn't turn over coming off the bike. But I didn't expect them too. By the time I finished I was really sweaty and hot.

144.5 lbs after- Hydrated well on the bike and before heading on the run.

Long run down the marathon course. Met Aaron at the finish line at 4:45 and caught a ride up with some people I don't know. I was just happy to snag a freebie and not have to drive back up.

My goals for this morning were. 1- get some faster downhill miles in (how many I wasn't sure), 2- DO NOT OVERDUE IT!!!!!

Got out of the car and started the run with a 6:16 warm up mile. That's how it goes when you run with Aaron. Hit the first 10 miles pretty uptempo and picked Steven up a long the way. After GU'ing up and a potty stop I was ready to do some kind of pick up/ workout/ tempo thing. And at mile 10 we started. Kept a solid push all the way into town to mile 20. Never redlined it. Never felt out of control. Just relaxed, yet dialed in. Splits: 5:09, 5:16, 5:29, 5:25, 5:19, 5:32, 5:30, 5:22, 5:15, 5:22

The first mile might have been fast. But I went out with Aaron up pulling me. I felt pretty good and the pace didn't feel this fast. I would have guested at the time we were only going 5:25 or so. Everything else felt very smooth. Past Winchster through the S's I really just ran EZ as those miles are much faster than my times. Then the last 3 miles through town I did try and hold something harder. Logan ran strong last week on the closing miles and I wanted to do the same. Pretty happy with the finish as I felt great. Not dead, sore or jacked up at all. Jogged .5 cool down and called it a day.

Ended the 20.5 mile run in 1:59:11 or a 5:48 avg.

Pretty happy to have turned the corner after feeling SOOOO worthless earlier this week. Time will tell if I am sore or not next week. But I'm looking on the bright side this time.
