13.6 mile run this morning. As far as the sickness goes I think I'm back to normal. The only thing that I can complain about this morning is a very sore hammy. Please go away!

I did the new overpass/ Dogtown loop extended on both ends. Morning runs right now are just amazing. I could live my whole life in September-November with STG weather. For some reason I'm really excited to watch football tomorrow- after the long run of course.

(New Landreth- 128.5)

8.2 mile run at noon. I ran from my house down past Costco to the river trail and then over to the DC where Mik'L picked me up. I wanted to do kind of a tweener type run. Not tempo or even tinman tempo but faster than normal. I avg. 6:40 for the 7.6 miles down there and then did .6 cool down while I waited for Mik'L. Good little run and now I'm going to relax the rest of the day and get ready for a Big Workout tomorrow morning.

(Blue Stratus- 495.9)

What part of the course are you running in the morning?

There should be a lot of runners getting in their last BIG run before SGM.

From Superfly on Fri, Sep 12, 2008 at 11:26:04

What I've got planned is to run from the running store over to the Snow Canyon park and up that canyon to where the road hits the marathon course- Then to hammer from there back down to the store on the marathon course and then cool down for 3 or 4 miles around that area.

What's your plans?

From scotthughes on Fri, Sep 12, 2008 at 11:30:19

I am looking at starting at the gas station at Veyo and run to the finish. I have done that before and thought that going through the hardest part of the course and ending up at the finish would be good so that I can visualize finishing the race.

From wheakory on Fri, Sep 12, 2008 at 12:28:17

What's nice Clyde is you have a great advantage of running the marathon course which really helps.

Clyde who's your favorite College and NFL Team? Ohio State and USC should be a good game.

From Superfly on Fri, Sep 12, 2008 at 13:05:56

Kory- I love just about every college game. I'm a BYU and Ute fan too. But really no favorite. I just love college football.

As far as the pro's go I'm not as into it as college. Too much money and stuff involved in the Pro's. Back in the day I was a 49'er fan, also the Colts (back when they had Marshall Faulk).

But again Saturday is a lot better football day than Sunday.

From Dustin on Fri, Sep 12, 2008 at 13:13:42

BYU and the Denver Broncos for me. Growing up there were only two things we could do on Sunday:

1. Go to Church

2. Watch the Broncos

Couldn't have friends over, no shopping, no eating out, sometimes a Sunday drive was allowed, but we didn't do much.

From paul on Fri, Sep 12, 2008 at 13:31:55

Colts, eh? Growing up in Indiana, of course I was a Colts fan too (although never over my Packers). I liked them best when they had Jim Harbaugh. Now that they have Payton Manning, I find myself rooting against them a lot, just because he's so good and I like cheering for the underdog.

From wheakory on Fri, Sep 12, 2008 at 15:13:01

Since I started this discussion I like the Cowboys for pro. They've been my favorite team since I was 7 years old. I have quite the collection of Cowboys stuff. I had a chance to meet several of their players 3 years ago.

College I like several UCLA, Michigan, Oklahoma. Our local college which is an 1AA Division team (Idaho State Bengals) haven't been that good since we had Merrill Hoge. Just not enough recruiting to bring players up here, and again it's a 1AA division team.

I always fought my mom to stay home from church to watch the Cowboys play. I did everything even fake being sick. But I really love church now, and can record the Cowboys games.

From Dustin on Fri, Sep 12, 2008 at 15:27:42

Yeah Kory,

As I'm older now, I do my best to attend all my church meetings and then catch the highlights of NFL games later in the day.

From Superfly on Fri, Sep 12, 2008 at 15:52:26

I watch plenty of football on Sunday but it's not as fun as the football I watch on Saturday.

BTW- I do hope that USC stomps the Buckeye's.

I also have started to kind of like the new Cowboys team. I used to hate them but Romo and TO are kind of entertaining.

Paul- I really don't like Manning either.

From paul on Fri, Sep 12, 2008 at 15:54:53

Clyde - I like Manning okay, I just like seeing him lose! Almost as fun as watching VanderJact choke.

Dustin - thank goodness for NFL.com highlight videos...fast and on-demand.

From Jon on Fri, Sep 12, 2008 at 16:04:58

Broncos on Sunday- I have many memories growing up of my dad watching those games and how energetic he would get.

No college team for me...

From Superfly on Fri, Sep 12, 2008 at 16:08:40

You guys have to spoil it by being Broncos fans. Back in the day when I was a 9'er fan I built up a strong dislike for the broncos. Now even though I'm not really loyal to SF... I'm still loyal to my dislike of Denver.

So neener, neener!

From Dustin on Fri, Sep 12, 2008 at 16:13:59

I thought Jon would join the discussion before long, another loyal Bronco Fan!

I struggle with Manning, The Patriots, and lately the Chargers.

Seems like my oldest son always chooses one of those 3 teams whenever we play Madden. Maybe because they all have like 99% rankings in every category. Anyway, I'm still able to beat him by a pretty good margin, even when he selects the worst teams for me.

Clyde, you need to post your ability to play the xbox and run on a treadmill at the same time on the bragging section of the discussion board.

From wildbull on Fri, Sep 12, 2008 at 17:07:43

Rise and Shout the cougars are out. Stomp UCLA! Go Patriots. Clyde, Ken and i are running from his house if you want to join the old geezers! (17)

From wheakory on Fri, Sep 12, 2008 at 18:14:00

VanderJact what a joke when he was with the Cowboy's. Now he's kicking for a Canadian team.

We should get a football pick poll going and keep track. We don't have to put money in but just do it for fun.

Here's my Power Ranking of Teams

1. Cowboys

2. Chargers

3. Steelers

4. Eagles

5. Packers

6. Colts

7. Jaguars

8. Giants

9. Patriots

10. Saints
