60 mile ride this morning around the Gunlock/ Veyo loop. For some of the ride we had a motorcycle leading us to aid the drafting. It ended up being hard to line everyone up and make it work so I'd say I maybe only got a good draft one third of the time. But we were still flying. And even though we were going faster the effort wasn't easier. As we were killing it all the way through. Ended with a 22.1 mph avg.

13.2 mile run. 3 on the treadmill while I waited for Mik'L. Then hit the regular DC loop. Hip was tight and naggy but I pulled off a solid clip as I made the loop. Enjoyed the 70 F temps and dreamed of winning a race again.... someday.

Why did you have a motorcycle helping?

A guy in my ward is on the motorcycle support crew for Tour of Utah which starts this week (I think). Anyways he was having some technical issues with his bike and "stuff". So he wanted to join us for a ride to test things out. We were happy to have him. Not too many people want to come out and play at 3:50 a.m. We'd hoped to just blaze the loop with his help but it ended up that a lot of sections I road faster last week without any help. And overall we ended with a 22.1 mph avg but the last two weeks I've ridden it at 21.5, 21.4 respectively.

Very impressive riding lately! You've been cruisin'! How many hours of sleep have you been getting? Or try to get.. I've noticed you've been pulling some early ones.

6 1/2 or 7 I guess. I try to be in bed at 9 p.m and then I'm up at 3:30-4:00. Sometimes (like once a week) I catch a short nap and on Saturday night/ Sunday morning I really try and sleep a lot. Like in bed at 9 and stay there til like 8 a.m. So that has helped me catch up.

That ain't so bad.. I just need to get to bed at 9 instead of 10. When you say 3:30 it sounds like you don't sleep at all.
