13.1 mile run this morning. An uneventful half marathon this morning. I can feel my body getting better but it still feels like I'm dragging around a dead horse. But there is improvement. Yesterdays run was at an avg. of 7:52 and todays run was at the same effort and for the most part the same course and I hit an avg of 7:28... still a little slow but coming around. Hopefully I'll be ready to hammer something on Saturday for the workout and really get the legs turning over again.

(Landreth- 414.3)

9.1 mile loop up the Middleton trail and around GS- then home the longer way. I'm loving the fact that afternoon runs are becoming more and more doable and not so taboo due to the heat.

A little slow at 7:28.... If I could pull that off in for the marathon I would be elated! I envy you guys that can feel that you are running slow and put up times I dream about!

I am targeting a 9:09 for a 4 hour marathon. I held on for a 9:01 pace in the half marathon last week and felt good at that. If I would have been able to start training a month or so earlier I think that I could get to 8:00 and be a Boston qualifier...maybe next year! Keep up the good work!

Scott good job on your training. You should have a great marathon and make your goal. Keep your training solid for the last few weeks and just try to relax on race day. The key to this course is not running the first 12 miles that hard and then being able to hammer the last 14. So don't be too aggressive when the gun goes off!

Thanks for the comment, But will see about what you said. I'm having some nasty lower back problems on the left side of my back. I hope you guys get the times you have worked so hard for. You have certainly put in the work.

Glad you are feeling better!

James- Thanks, it feels good to be feeling better.

Steve- Get that back figured out. You've put in a lot of work yourself.
