8 mile morning run. It rained a little last night so I wanted to run the trail. When I left the house it was dark and I made my way up through GS to where the trail takes off back to the powerline. It was a nice morning out. The desert always smells so clean, and good after a little water comes down.

10 mile run this afternoon. We finished up with work around noon today and so after lunch I had time to get in a good little run before practice. I started from our office and ran down to the Dixie Center and hit the trail for the full loop up around Bloomington Hills and the post office and then I made my way back to the office. It was right on 10.05. I was suprised how close to 10 miles it was for just going out and running without looking at the course first.

Along the way up past the Dixie Center about one mile I saw a Turtle. A water swiming turtle here in the STG. I didn't know we had them here but I've seen this guy twice, and I thought I saw one months ago but I thought my eye's were being fooled. No fooling here. We have the desert turtles and we have swiming turtles down by the river. Anyways that's my STG National Geographic for the day.

Total time on the afternoon run was 1:08:20.

I can't believe how well your training is going Clyde.

Actually I can considering how hard I had to run at St George in the last miles!

Thanks Steve,

I'm just trying to get in miles while I can. I coach wrestling at Dixie High and during the season I don't have a lot of time to run. However the first week and a half has gone pretty good. I hope it continues.

Also I didn't run the last few that good. Once I got to you- you just unloaded and dropped me "like it was hot." Hopefully with some good training I can finish a little stronger next year.
