7 miles this morning

11 miles this afternoon

Easy paced runs trying to get back in the swing of things after a long weekend. I've got this bad side ache. Not only when I run but just walking around the house. I kind of felt it on my second and third legs of the Del Sol and then Monday on both runs then today. It's a pretty bad pain if it continues for two more day I'll have to go see a Doc.

Saw TWO desert turtles this afternoon. One about a mile north of my house and one about one mile north of that. The first one scared me just as bad as I scared it. Then I saw the second from a far and came up on it from behind- it was just going to town eating on a bush. Then it saw me and hissed and went in it's shell. It's kind of cool seeing them. In a little over a year since we moved to this house I've seen 4 or 5 live turtles out in th reserve- and way too many snakes but we won't go there.

Snake season is around the corner, also my biggest fear running out in the desert on trails.

Hey Clyde, way to go with the miles yesterday!

Concerning the side ache - how are you feeling today? Is it any better? I would mess with that especially if you haven't already had your appendix taken out.

Clyde,

Quit lying on the Blog. I have never seen turtle yet! Are you sure it was not a small raccoon? Or just a figment of your imagination. A Bad potatoe not digested. You’re dehydrated in the desert.

Bill, you are the only one that "sees things" and I think it is because of the strange desert plants that YOU eat.

Sorry, didn't mean to post that twice. Just refreshed my page and ... like magic there it was again.
