I'm kind of a gluten for punishment. Today I went back up on the mesa and had the time of my life. Well maybe not. I took the bike and had Mik'L haul me up to the watertank in the truck then biked from there up the road to where the trail head. Then up the switch backs to the top. This took about one hour and twenty min's from the time Mik'L dropped me off. As I was working across the top I felt like thins were strange and right before I really started to drop off on the downhill I blew a tire. Ef! No problem I'll just pull it off and repair it with my trusty trail patch kit- NOT. I bought this crap-o-la junk thing a Wal-Mart and it jacked me up. So the glueless patch kits don't work! Now I'm 9 miles from anywhere and stuck up on the Broken Mesa with a bike I don't want to leave up there but it would be A LOT easier if I could just run home. So I push the bike down off the sucker running where at all possible. I start to go cross country off the trail to try and save time but every time I do it costs me even more. I finally made it back to the watertank and met up with Mik'L who I had called. Total time out- over 4 hours. But hey I found one fresh deer antler. The crazy thing is that I kind of want to go back tomorrow morning....

My sister had bike troubles this morning to. It's fun but running is less of a headache.

Not crazy. You have to go back to beat it... I hope you are doing well.

Josse- Your right. That's why I love running. Just lace them up and your out the door. However the last couple years of "training" haven't been so simple.

Adam- I did go back and I did beat it. We are doing good. My wife was due yesterday so we are just waiting for our little guy to come. Hope you guys are doing good to. I was sad we all didn't go do Del Sol again. Good times!

Me too about Del Sol. I glad you have the picture up. That is great news about you and your wife. My second one was a week late. I think they say only 5% of kids are born on their due date. I had a peak at the baby blog, I hope Mik'l is holding up well. I'll make sure to check back often this week...

any news are you a Dad?

From superfly on Sun, Mar 08, 2009 at 16:54:39 from 209.33.210.52

No baby yet. Yesterday was the due date so we might have to be induced later this weeks sometime.
