Nothing yet today. I'm pretty sore from yesterday as I suspected I would be. My wife and I have decided that I'll have to pass on running Squaw Peak this week. With the last couple weeks of bad health I'm not really up for a 50 miler... One other thing is we bought a new house yesterday and will be starting the moving process this week and next. I've got a million things to do between cleaning the new house, packing up our stuff here, moving it all over there, and then starting block walls and landscaping over there. So outside of not feeling strong enough to run the race I just don't have time to think about it anymore.

As for running in general I'll try and get myself healthy again with no races planned at all. My hammy continues to pull and ache and it really does me no good to log miles and miles because improvement is limited with the continued pain. Basically I won't be running fast until I can be running pain free. Anyways thats where I'm at right now. We are super pumped about the new house. For us it's going to be way nice and it's in a great running location with lots of flat options in every direction. Should be fun.

Congrats on the house, bummer on Squaw and the injury.

Hey Clyde, bummer on the race, but that is cool news about the house. Let me know when you guys need some help. I also have my truck we can use if you need it. Where is the house located?

From Superfly on Tue, Jun 02, 2009 at 10:32:22 from 209.33.210.52

Thanks guys.

Dustin the house is out in little valley. If you take river raod south out there past the fire station and then there is a vets office- you keep going south and our house is in a subdivision called Jedora on the left side of River Road. That's confusing but if you know the area you might have an idea of what I'm talking about.

Conrats on the house! Get the hammy healed up so you can continue your great racing.

Probably the right choice. At least other things can fill the void while your legs get back into line... Nice pic has anyone commented on the "John Malkovich" look of it?

It looks like Saturday morning is the move day unless something goes wrong...

Adam I think someone has mentioned that... but it's rude because that guy is a big jerk plus I look more like Brad Pitt from Legends of the Fall... at least thats what the ladies tell me.

Clyde, good wisdom on your part. You know your body and the chemistry of it. Why push it to the limit with an ultra and risk problems in the future. I really believe with the training you haven't done you made the right choice. Plus trying to run a race with somewhat of an injury is hard.

Congratulations on the house. Your house is it outside the St. George area. Perfect if it's near a golf course.

From Superfly on Wed, Jun 03, 2009 at 18:30:30 from 209.33.210.52

Kory no the house is inside STG city. It's just down in the flat region ish...

Closing will be on Friday but for some reason we can't move until Monday at the earliest for anyone who was thinking of stopping over.

Sorry to hear your not doing Squaw Peak but I think it is wise. I think you are going to have to do some long, extensive therapy on that hammy to get it better. And the problem is probably originating in the hips so that will need to be fixed as well.
